I think that gender authoritanism is why they’re *indifferent* to the burden on parents working outside the home, but the idea that it’s the true motive implies they secretly understand the medical rationale is nonsense. I think at this point it’s fair to presume they’re genuinely stupid.

We could gin up some crafty sociopolitical agenda behind every crackpot idea that RFK Jr. excretes (and SOME of them do indeed seem like thinly veiled eugenics) but for most of them I think the more parsimonious explanation is he’s sincerely a moron and a crackpot.
