1. I like the number, but then I think, If I double my efforts, the number will be even better!
2. The number isn't as good as I hoped, and now I'm depressed because this isn't working fast enough and what am I doing wrong?
3. The number is even better than I hoped! But hey, all I need to do is a little bit more and the number will be even better!
Down that road lies madness.

So I'm just gonna say. I feel better. I look better. And I've lost a noticeable amount of weight. I need to lose more, and I will. I don't need to know the number, because the number doesn't matter. I know what I wanna look like. I've looked like that before. And if you're in the same place as me? Consider chucking the scale out the nearest door. It's a data point, and I'd make the argument it's not even a significant data point.
