@tofu@is-a.cat use emulators instead of the real thing (and then buy the real thing once you're sure you like the system)

@fristi@56k.dile-up.nl that is an option, if you have a fast CPU, 86box is nice I use it to set up stuff before transferring a disk image to real hardware in some cases haha
