Actually, what I would like to see is a parody of In The Mouth of Madness.
A writer discovers he can realign reality by writing things -- he immediately writes the most self-indulgent power fantasy-cum-horror-novel he can imagine and rushes it to print.
And nothing happens.
Nobody believes it. Because it's *bad writing.* Turns out people aren't just sponges that soak up whatever they read or watch.

Also I like the idea of an aspiring god having to negotiate with an editor -- or the film industry! -- to become omnipotent. "No, you see, you *have* to include the bit where the writer mashes lips with the hot editor. Because it's essential! What kind of god is going to mash lips with an uggo!
