Then I do it after all; I open my eyelids just a tiny crack. My gaze falls upon the mirror beside my bed. I lose myself in deep, emerald-green eyes framed by dark brown, almost black hair who are looking right back at me. The hand holds me a little tighter, pulling me against the baby-round belly pressing into my back. A whispered word reaches my ear, "Hey." My eyes close again; my hand moves to the arm, pressing it and the most beautiful girl in the world firmly against me, "Hi."
