So I have to take my blood pressure every few days. And it generates an ache in my arm that takes some time to let go. It feels like the ache that I associate with Joints Fuckery That Radiates Out. Anyone know what I mean, is this a known phenomenon? I&#39;m sorta thinking connective tissue though it could also be the PsA by ways of lowgrade inflammation. Or smth completely different?

@silhelm I have PsA but not EDS and experience this in addition to "ow it hurts to touch me for no reason whatsoever muscular ache." I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia because of it

@silhelm (eds+lc sufferer, former microbiology student) without knowing more about your medical history: arthralgia vs myalgia vs neuralgia (or a combination of any) can be tricky. my money is on neuralgia, allodynia specifically. especially if it spreads from the area. that sounds more like nerve pain to me. but pain is super diverse and yea inflammation is most likely the culprit, or one of the culprits

@silhelm It may be worth getting someone to do your BP manually with a manual sphygmomanometer. If you know your usual likely BP range, your manual tester (dunno if you can do your own, not sure) can stop pumping the higher inflation and start listening for the top number or inflate then listen carefully... The electronic machines will tighten much more than needed (and tighten harder if they miss a reading).
