Dunno. The Colonel himself lived in Missississauga in the latter part of his life, but don't know the story. Do remember when the company tried to downplay the “fried” in their name by using KFC on everything and PFK in QC.

@VE2UWY@mastodon.radio Yeah, there's a whole interesting story there, Dave from Wendy's, loss of control of the company, back stabbing, wrecking his gravy recipe... His move to Canada and Scott's was his attempt to save what he considered to be the 'real' Kentucky Fried Chicken experience. It's also why we never had 'crispy style' here - the franchise added crispy style in the US, the Colonel thought it was a desecration.
