Do Americans say “American Cheese”?
I’ve never heard anyone say this until the other day but it sounds like something Americans would say
I would accept this if they are talking about government cheese, though, but like, do they think cheddar is American cheese or what is going on here

@jamie@fedi.jametek.com american cheese is ultra-processed, so it's distinct from cheddar. It's incredibly processed colby or cheddar, to be creamy like government cheese.
