Can anyone confirm or debunk this?
Anecdotally, I found that compost seems to act basically as a heat pump: it’s much colder below and there is condensation
… which would tend to show that it does in fact not help nearby plants that much? There’s probably an inner layer that gets colder and an outer layer that gets the nutrients?
