Speaking of Misunderstood films, Rays and the Last Dragon is misunderstood. There is no evil villain. This isn’t a story about evil. This is not a grey morality tale. Shush makes it very clear what the film is about, and that is forgiveness and coming together. Jealousy and greed is what break the world, and the two girls become enemies not because they hate each other, but one parent covets the possession of the other.
There is a bunch of bull in the way, but it’s about unity.
