The things that I don't understand about the “lay developers off because AI makes them more productive" plan: 1) I've never worked for a company that didn't have a roadmap that's a million miles long. So..why not leverage AI to tackle that work, and leapfrog their competitors? 2) AI can make individuals or small teams so productive they are potentially spawning a whole bunch of competitors without their legacy cruft. Things I do understand about the plan - “make stock chart go up”
