@swacknificent@fosstodon.org @chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca Operation Paperclip happened right after WWII. The idea that the Nazis lost, we're punished, and left behind us was always a propagandized myth. They got a lot of their inspiration from the USA in the first place, and in turn the USA improved on their methods by developing a more sustainable approach for oppression.
