@troed@masto.sangberg.se I'd say, ban calculators in early academic. As pointed in this and multiple other articles and studies it is a known fact that relying on calculators have made an impact on younger people not being able to do simple math.

@troed@masto.sangberg.se LLMs ought to be approached the same way - the ones who praise LLMs for being the best thing since sliced bread, mostly don't know how to do shit - they don't write, create, code - but with this new tool "they can". Because they have this flashy new tool, they don't need to learn the fundementals, which in turn will lead to issues when the LLM spit out stuff they don't understand but expect to be correct - which often it is not.
