Now I increasingly see this other approach:
1. I want to make money with software, because software is everywhere, but I don’t know how to code. (Or: I want to make an app, I can code, but I have no real UI/UX experience).
2. I use ‘AI’ tools to vibecode my little idea. (Or: I make the app, looks good enough to me and for my needs).
3. The tool is crap (or unpolished, or so platform-agnostic it feels alien in any supported environment).
4. Profit, if any, through subscriptions.

Addendum: I’m generalising, of course. Exceptions are plenty, I know. There are still a lot of great developers out there. Just as there’s a lot of great music and great musicians. I’m talking about the software equivalent of current pop music here. Hope I’m making sense in a rough-round-the-edges sort of way. (I’m tired.)
