@felis_catus_domesticus@toot.community Yes. For me, this wood working shop run by the Tokyo municipal government is the best deal I’ve found. Only 500 yen a day, with a free run of the power tools, with advice when needed from the old lumberjack who babysits the DIY’ers, and the price even includes free screws, thinners and glue.
So far, I’ve made these two pieces there…

@ChaplinTokyo@social.vivaldi.net oh that's great. I love that type of project. I don't have a picture of it now, but I made a stool inspired by the classic onsen stool. I also like to make monitor stands for computer monitors so that I can look straight ahead when using a computer instead of bending my neck looking down. Those too are similar to this onsen design. That humble stool has been a useful concept for many things.
