How can you tell if a book is abridged? I got a used copy of Moby Dick, and it’s only 420 pages long. A lot of other editions are twice that. It is 6x9 in, so bigger pages a paperback. Great Books of the Western World, Encyclopædia Britannica, University of Chicago, 1952. Which I’m realizing was 101 years after the original was published. Anyway, I decided to finally tackle this classic because my father read it recently and I want something to talk about next time I see him. #MobyDick
