But also the drama in the bike racing is insane… there’s always some joy in there, courage, villainy, humour, generosity, pain; several ongoing story threads; team rivalries, personal rivalries… you can see the edges of it on TV but eventually you get it all. And the sheer power and endurance of these people is amazing. And how do they do it in 39°C heat?
