Here's Pixelfed/Loops/Sup's funding model. Just patreon, github sponsors, and nlnet for grant-funded milestones. @dansup@mastodon.social says when it comes to money, there are always strings attached ("That's not villainy, that's just gravity"). That's why he wants to bootstrap his own fundraising through end-user channels.
