@muz4now@mastodon.world something else :) a lot of the time when Iโ€™m both listening to and making music, Iโ€™m using bone conduction headphones.

@muz4now@mastodon.world if I'm doing music/audio work on studio 'puter it's my trusty old Sennheiser HD600s, both with a control room emulation and without, but mostly with. Out and about on foot it's a lower-middle end pair of Groov-e earbuds which constantly surprise me with how good they are. Or of course in the car, which is a 15 year old Citroen C4 with whatever system was factory fitted. Definitely got a fizzy tweeter in it somewhere... quite handy for highlighting 'too much top' in a mix though! ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @muz4now@mastodon.world B&W 602s/601s with a Paradigm sub (with an updated driver) and Cambridge Audio presence speakers for the immersive audio rig in the living room, Focal Shape 65s in the studio, and Austrian Audio Hi-X55 cans for the MP3 player. Because I live for sound.

  • @muz4now@mastodon.world On good bluetooth headphones when I'm outside (sometime bluetooth earbuds). On a HIFI system when I'm in the living room. On Studio Monitors when in my Home Studio. I have good heaphones there too. But mainly on Studio Monitors.

Home hifi, big home headphones, small custom fitted in-ears, car speakers, more or less in that order of preference.
