Update for anyone following this thread. Little chick is not so little anymore (definitely not pocket-sized) and they and their two siblings went into their new outdoor home today. It’s just getting to golden hour and our 3 year old has been enjoying feeding them blackcurrants and herbs from the garden and it just all feels so wholesome.

Anyone following The Chick Diaries: My chick in my pocket aka Bo Cheep we raised in our kitchen after he was rejected by his mother. He’s a teenager now (with the emo hair and demeanour to match). His current two mates - Bruce and Bree - are his brother and sister and it’s not a great idea having two cockerels and one hen. The boys have already started squabbling and having “cockadoodle-offs” so they’re going to live with my mother in law’s girls and and we’re off to find him some new girlfriends this week to come live with us. #chicken #chickens #hens
