Such a proud moment to hear your toddler exclaim “no, it’s my body. No one can touch my body if I say no” Frustratingly, it’s to my husband trying to clean marmite off her face, but it’s still a win.

In today’s completely nonsensical world, today our 9 year old said glumly over breakfast “The teachers have said we’ve got to do extra work today, because we didn’t do any learning yesterday” I asked what he meant. “Well, yesterday was obviously world book day, so we just spent the day reading, so today we have to catch up on the learning we would have done” Just….what? #school #education

My brain seems to have worked through the 78 or so different hobbies that I’ve got interested in, researched / bought the stuff for, and then got bored of and so now I seem to have come full circle and come back to the idea of taking up knitting again. I learned to cast on and do a basic row last time, enough to make a small square, so I’m this time I can maintain my interest it long enough to make a pair of toddler sized socks. 🤞🏻 #knitting #knitted

Um so, I’m really bad for having earworms, and often hum them without realising. And now I’m in the situation where my 2yo daughter specifically requests me to sing/play the “Spiderman Pizza song” She finds it hilarious.

To those of you in the early days of a relationship, if you think flowers and “good morning” texts are romantic, just wait until you hear your husband doing battle with your 2 year old whilst she screeches “but I don’t want mummy to have a shower in peace!” #relationships #marriage #happilymarried

It’s probably something gross like the smell of burning dust (which in turn is obviously gross dead skin flakes etc) but I’m going to say it anyway: I love the smell of the central heating going on for the first time.

Toddler: Mummy, what’s that? Me: err, it’s called Baileys. It’s a grown-up drink. Toddler: I like Baileys Me: no, you wouldn’t like it. It’s…..spicy? Isn’t it Daddy? @harrybo as he sips his own: Yes, yes, very spicy. Toddler: oh…ok. I don’t like spicy.
