Dutch farmers like to say they 'feed the world', but all their livestock needs massive imports of fodder; the world feeds our pigs.
New study by Wageningen University WUR finds that there is no net contribution to global food supply.

"If we'd eat a little less meat, as recommended for health reasons too, our nitrogen deposition problem (harming nature in the Netherlands) would be halved, and we wouldn't have to import fodder." Sounds like a plan!
