I am left with a sense of impending doom deep in my gut. My brain says relax, but... Not one bird, no evidence of any bird on this morning's walk. No sight. No sound. Nothing. I could hear the damn cars, so I didn't go deaf. No crows, no robins, no chickadees, no pigeons, no gulls. None of even the most common. ๐Ÿ˜ž It should be hopping during the early morning hours. This is awful.๐Ÿ˜ข #Birds #Nature

For context to explain my shock, usually in my morning there are birds outside the kitchen window, flocks of grackles passing through the tree outside the living room window, robins hunting insects on the lawn, chickadees hopping from branch to branch, crows hollering at me to bring out peanuts, gulls soaring along the valley, pigeons on nearby roofs, cardinals singing from the scrub at the edge of the lawn, etc. And that's just the more obvious ones.
