I don't accept the biased hype that AI is inevitable. Very few things are, and there aren't reliable reasons to support AI's inevitability. Most things in public life, in fact, involve layers and layers of choices by people somewhere - maybe even yours and mine, eh? Once we know contexts, harms, (the few) benefits, and facts around AI, shouldn't that knowledge inform our choices to act where we can? That doesn't sound like purity culture. That sounds like awareness, agency, and praxis to me.
