@Stoori@polyglot.city my wife, the USAian, also can't stop raving about the freedom of not having one. Not to worry about insurance premiums and incurring cost and all the shit that comes with ownership all the time.

@eivind@fribygda.no yeah, the real freedom of not having to care about and pay for a car. need to go to your local services? just hop on a bike, it's only a few minutes away. need to go somewhere further? trains and buses run by a schedule, they're super predictable and it's relaxing when you don't have to worry about the traffic
