the industrial scale of the thing is the issue here, I think, and the victims are the cows being milked and the ecology of the planet. but baby cows? skepticallllll

@Crow@pagan.plus You'd have to ask Kevin Veegan what exactly he meant. Baby cows are ripped away from their mothers (and their milk) too early, so humans can drink the rich cow milk that is meant for the calf. But that's okay, because most calfs will be slaughtered and sold as meat anyway. And yes. It's the industry that keeps the milk and meat myth alive. (But this is my interpretation, not that of Kevin V.) @vegan_horizon@veganism.social
