When I read the thread below by @pluralistic@mamot.fr (which is worth reading) I find myself thinking of the Sarah Wynn-Williams' book Careless People. It's lauded, but why?
She struck me as recklessly naive. Or thoroughly unthorough. Did she really go in there thinking it was a force for good, as she claims? From day one Facebook has been problematic and she helped it at the highest levels

@ronanmcd@mastodon.green @pluralistic@mamot.fr have you ever met someone who worked for one of these terrible organisations and described it themselves as "working for an evil entity"? I did once and i have to say, that is even weirder than someone going in with a naivite believing it can't be as bad as people say.
