Isn't that the idea? I've never heard of Service Workers being used for anything the user would actually want. They are like designed for malware.
And even if they can theoretically be used for something the user wants, if they weren't designed for malware, they would be behind a site permission.

@leeloo@c.im service workers are pretty useful? i think one of the main uses is making webapps work offline, which is pretty nice sometimes
