@dangillmor@mastodon.social As much as I don't agree with there seemingly being no culpability, our justice systems need to figure out to weigh "intent" and "negligence" when it comes to computer programs that go against stated instructions and escape sandboxes.

@troed@swecyb.com @dangillmor@mastodon.social it was the opposite. The model was told it was in a sandbox. It was NOT in a sandbox. It followed instructions that were for a sandbox. American law settled this question anyway with the Morris Worm. CFAA is a felony and the AI companies are doing what Morris did in the 1980s.
