So, this is my very first go at making a glaze at home. The base is supposed to be an shiny opaque white. It all came out a little more satin than super glossy, but I'm very pleased. The plum coloured second tile is the base + 5% red stain and 0.8% cobalt carbonate. The third is the base + 2% rutile. The last is 2% rutile and 0.2% red iron oxide.
The second pic are the variations on white and dark grey engobes.
Something funky happened on the far right. haha. what's new? #pottery #ceramics

I was trying like hell to get a good photograph of the plum coloured glaze, but last night my lighting was defeating me. However, in daylight, in my courtyard, you can see... it's more subtle than it was showing on the earlier pic. #pottery #ceramics
