Terminator: Son sends his father to the past to impregnate his mother so he can be born.
Terminator 2: Killer robot becomes father figure to future savior of mankind.
Terminator 3: The future cannot be changed.
Terminator 4: Timeline's broken.
Terminator 5: Broken timeline gets even more broken.
Terminator 6: Another timeline ... gets broken.
We need Starfleet's Temporal Corps to intervene, come to our timeline, and reset everything.

@GayDeceiver@mstdn.social The nice thing about Terminator continuity is they keep time traveling, so technically even the ones that contradict each other can be in continuity. "Oh, yeah—this *is* the same world. We just re-wrote history. Again. Again." I usually think of them more linearly, but my personal head canon wavers. Do I subscribe to the 1-2-3-4 timeline, or the 1-2-6 timeline? 6 is better than 3 or 4, but it suffers from the Alien 3 problem. COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO BE TERMINATOR-SPLAINED.
