Sobering statistics out of that #Michigan #Senate #election ...
Abdul El-Sayed won just 34 percent of the vote in Detroit and lost a majority of votes across counties where less than 30 percent of adults have a college degree.
He did best in the areas of Michigan where incomes were highest & college educated. That is not the promised populist "wave."
I sincerely hope they can change course to broaden their appeal to non-college educated voters. #uspol #uspolitics

@juliehuz@mastodon.world I live in Detroit. We got DAILY attack mail against Abdul. Most days I received two or three full page ads against him, alleging that he is racist, sexist, and ageist. If you work a couple jobs (like I do) and are a caretaker (like I am) low income etc etc it is a huge job to do your own research on a candidate with AIPAC millions $$$ specifically targeting us and taking advantage
