Looking for the source/data for the claim that approximately 1/3 of backups fail to restore - is it just folklore or does someone have a pointer to something more substantial? Thanks in advance.

@gvwilson@mastodon.social i don't have data but my experience was that much of the failed restores started as folks not checking error messages on the backup.
