@prometheuspetrosss@mas.to I’d have to check the precise numbers, but my understanding is that Wi-Fi generally consumes much more power, making it harder to deploy large numbers of solar-powered nodes.
Still, since Reticulum can route across different interfaces, couldn’t a Wi-Fi mesh become another segment of the wider Reticulum network, connected through bridge nodes to a LoRa segment? That could combine LoRa’s range and low power consumption with Wi-Fi’s much higher bandwidth.
