marcus if you want change, you can vote
or you can take it to the street, create vast suffering on a scale that makes our current shit look quaint, and then at the end of all that, someone even worse might win
or, you don't even get a democratic society at all. you can't possibly believe that's better
or, we get a clean good antiplutocrat society, and we get "well i'm not voting, the candidates aren't pure enough" assholes all over again
that shit is the real and eternal problem

@benroyce@mastodon.social But I can do so much more than vote, and I do. That's why I'm a political organizer. That's why I'm out in the streets in protests. That's why I knock on doors to talk to my neighbors. That's why I go to community meetings and town halls. That's why I talk to people every day to organize the masses. Everyday is a day I spend talking to someone trying to raise class consciousness. Help them realize that a better world is possible!
