There were lots of marriages before WW2 and other conflicts.
Couples who may have waited or changed course were rushed by circumstances. Just sayin’, not everyone came home to a faithful bride happy to see them.
If it’s coercive it’s vile. Sex work at least a respectable transaction..
If it’s witch hunting women to skirt responsibility for paying out military families, it’s vile.
It may also be a series of logical social arrangements that decides who lives this winter. 🙃
