I just got an email saying they're removing Google Assistant from mobile devices on Sept 4th and forcing their AI on to devices.
Didn't they kill Assistant last year?
I'm confused

@pixelpusher220@dmv.community They've already got gemini running on my phone, unasked. I am not amused. It's actually worse at figuring out who I want to call, which is about the only thing I use the voice assistant for.
