@VickForcella@mastodon.derg.nz *degrades ur informations* there's actually different types of entropy! Shannon Entropy, the one mentioned there, is somewhat the opposite of Thermodynamic Entropy. Higher Thermodynamic Entropy means LESS order, higher Shannon Entropy means MORE information. Lossless compression keeps the Shannon Entropy of an item, Lossy compression will reduce the Shannon Entropy. .. and Anthropy is actually the opposite of Misanthropy, although I also like Entropy :P
