Occasionally, you can see a long-sold off A&W store down there that has weather-beaten Burger Family statues looking sad. Sometimes repainted by new owners. Bleah.
I swear I've seen more abandoned/repurposed A&Ws in the USA than stores in business.
That said, I know a spot in the #Montréal suburbs where the c.1965 A&W driven was where the light standards are still orange! Restaurant only last 5 years, maybe.

@VE2UWY@mastodon.radio Ha, for sure. They're like Red Barn - anybody remember that one? Red Barn restaurants were all constructed to look like barns. To this day there are places that clearly used to be Red Barn. I was hoping to show you an example (circled red in Street View in first screen cap) but unfortunately it looks like they tore it down since I was last out on that side of town! (second screen cap)
