I am still resentful that everyone who is born will grow old, grow sick and die. I would like to request a new universe. One where metaphysics and spirits and beauty and justice are real, and not things we invent for ourselves to make meaning.

I don't think humanity should work towards world peace, or personal immortality. I think those are a good start. If we are the universe observing itself, then it is up to us to make it a universe that feels like home. A universe where beauty is not accidental, love is not temporary, justice not a tool of oppression, consciousness not a brief flicker, suffering not the final note in the song of all things a universe where the things that give life beauty and meaning are fundamental parts of reality and not things fragile creatures have to invent. The transhumanists think too selfish, too colonial, and too small. I don't want a future where humans live forever. I want a future where entire ecosystems live forever, because the embodiments of the universe have rewritten the rules.
