If you think your job is shitty, I had to support WebTV and WebCompanion (I think 300 were sold, I literally suggested we just mail them something better) in the late 90s and early 2ks). There was spaghetti code before there was a rendering architecture. We once got borked (our pages were converted to Swedish Chef) by opera (I think) once. 👨‍🍳 I wrote bucketizer (internal) organizing ua info by capability and supporting a handful of combinations instead of every browser that came out. 🤓
