@david_chisnall@infosec.exchange pretty sure macOS let apps define hooks for uninstall when deleting from /Applications too. As for cleanup: most of the time it’s a good thing that app settings are not erased

@nikitonsky@mastodon.online @david_chisnall@infosec.exchange there’s no hook and you’ll have a lot of left over files in weird places (not just user preferences) if you dont use one of various tools to clean up junk. I’m able to routinely find GB of junk.
