more water shortages at nuclear plants.
Until they use little to no fresh water for cooling, current plants are not a realistic solution to the fossil fuel transition and building new is ludicrous when renewables, even with battery systems, are orders of magnitude cheaper and less environmentally needy.

@chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca If you honestly apply these criteria to e. g. batteries, and put it into relation to energy output, then batteries are a non-starter much earlier than nuclear power plants.
