@filomel@musician.social No joking, such designs exist. Well insulated cabin with a window on cold side, with a mowing curved mirror a distance away which directs sunlight into that window.
No idea whos' idea that was and how it's called so unable to find now...

Plastic covered greenhouses stay above freezing all winter at 40° North at 1463 meters altitude from straw bales covered with 6mil plastic to large commercial ones. Mirrors are used to reflect sunlight for heating from backyards to industrial scale power generation.
