I swear microsoft’s model from the getgo was “sell crap so we can make money from abusing our users technical inability and need for support”. Apple’s model isn’t much better: “assume the user is rich and dumb enough to just buy a new machine when something slightly goes wrong and force their hand so they can’t fix it themselves anyways” Apple used to be cool with some of their early ppc macs and classic macs with right to repair and respecting the user but since steve jobs came back, imo, their company has been destined down a very bad path in terms of consumer rights. Don’t get me started on smartphones and tablets… Ill keep using community maintained operating systems on old reliable business machines thank you very much. That way, i’m actually treated like a human. #RUNBSD
