When I was a kid in the 90s, I kept thinking about the Power Rangers and how they were kind of gay, and I felt kinda gay, but they were kind of lame, and I didn’t wanna be lame.
So I got really into Star Trek in computers instead. I’m 47, and I’m confident that I made the correct decision. Star Trek definitely made me feel pretty OK about being gay, that’s for sure.

That’s not fair. You’re super gay and also pretty super. Your lameness spectrum has nothing to do with your gay gland.

I’m 42, and I felt like I was too old for power rangers after Season 1. You would have been close to 18 by the time the show debuted. I think I was 12 when it debuted, and outgrew it almost immediately. Maybe that’s why they felt lame to you. It was a kids show, and you were old enough to be in the Gulf war at the time it was happening.
