This is the part of Power Rangers that breaks verisimilitude? Not the smoke ghost living in a glass tube or the creatures made out of actual putty or the seemingly endless supply of cities to destroy while also apparently saving them?

When I was a kid in the 90s, I kept thinking about the Power Rangers and how they were kind of gay, and I felt kinda gay, but they were kind of lame, and I didn’t wanna be lame. So I got really into Star Trek in computers instead. I’m 47, and I’m confident that I made the correct decision. Star Trek definitely made me feel pretty OK about being gay, that’s for sure. “And he blew into it with his helmet on” How is that weird? If one of the weapons you have requires blowing into it you make it work with your helmet on. It’s just so fucking dumb to think that doesn’t make sense. It’s like calling out a chef for having a knife to cut things with.

Maybe it was actually his helmet making the sound but the dagger daggerflute was the electronic “key” to access music mode. He blows into his microphone and instead of it relaying the sound of his breaths it encodes it into flute playing. Technology is wonderful.
