I wonder if you have noticed this too: elder relatives are getting a whole lot more phishing attempts, both online and on the phone. Every now and then I also suspect that sales people have talked them into upgrading their plans, whatever they may be: mobile data plans for countries they will never visit, cyber security insurances including encrypted clouds they don't use, anti-virus alternatives to what they already pay for, backup alternatives to what they already pay for, and on and on. So I'm thinking: Scammers and friends are focusing their efforts on the elderly, right? If you do have parents, look out for them. This thought brought to you after discussing my father in law's cyber security insurance with my wife. 🙄
