Had a really lovely night with the chap I'm doing the disco for this coming Saturday, a wonderful sort and fantastic ally to all sorts of causes.
We discussed the Roadshow, and he's really up for acting as a sort of agent and booking gigs for me. Which is good, because I'm terrible at selling myself, and a big chunk of something is better than a whole chunk of nothing. Plus he's on the same wavelength as me, too.
Pleased as punch.

On the whole "selling myself" thing, a former acquaintance put it quite well: "Jess, you've done all this stuff over the years, how come you still live in a 3-bed semi in Wakefield?" I mean, it was a bit of a twattish thing to say, but he did have a point...
