Lions can only take dry heat :-( Died of 40C with Japanese humidity.
Three lions die of heatstroke at Tokyo zoo
The zoo said that 10 of its 16 lions have been ill. Japan has been experiencing an extreme heat wave since late July.

Japan has made a new category for administrative purposes, "cruelly hot" (apparently around 40C or over, DW doesn't give that much detail.) #climateCrisis #heißewelle
